The story of the weekend for our boys was the inability to close out games as our 1sts, 2nds and 3rds all narrowly lost to Charlestown after being in winnable positions. 4ths and 5ths secured comfortable wins and the C&S boys had split results with Bear's D2s getting up against rivals Adamstown and Quinny's C5s going down against The Gardens.. |

On Saturday night the Official Mayfield Hotel played host to our Presentation Night for 2018/19 in front of an 80+ crowd. It was a great year for our club, taking home 7 team awards from the Newcastle District Cricket Association and Newcastle City and Suburban Cricket Association (4 x Premiers, 3 x Minor Premiers), but the night was all about honoring the individuals who put in on and off the field to make our club as great as it is.. |

Tahs brave the weather for strong weekend of results

On a wet weekend we managed to get 5 of our sides out on the park, and all 5 had a good day out on Saturday. 1st Grade have 1st innings points in their fixture vs. Stockton. Dean Marjoribanks won the toss and sent Stockton in at Waratah Oval, and the boys bowled well as a unit to roll Stockton for 76. Jono Twomey (3/22) and Ben Sullivan (3/26) did the damage to the top order, before spin pair Lachy Taylor (2/5) and Nathan Robins (2/15) closed the innings out in style.. |

Our Saturday one-day sides continued their great seasons on Saturday, with all four picking up another win. Our 5th Grade boys and our newcomers the C5s remain undefeated at the top of their respective ladders, and the D1 and D2 guys are now right in the mix. In the higher grades, we took on Merewether with 1sts, 3rds and 4ths all sent in on wet decks. . |

Our 1st Grade boys owe the rest of the club a keg after having their 216 from week chased down by Wallsend DCC (9/233) on Saturday. Lachy Taylor put up figures of 4/24 to be the side’s best contributor, and debutant Hamish MacQueen took his first wicket in the top grade to cap off a strong debut.. |

For the second week in a row, 6 of our Saturday sides took home a win, with 1st Grade and D2s the teams to miss out. 3rd and 4th Grade rocketed to the top of the ladder after picking up comprehensive wins against Hamilton-Wickham, and 2nd Grade got their first win of the season with a comfortable win over Hamwicks. 5ths, C5s and D1s all got wins to continue their winning starts to the year..
