Two Grand Final Wins to celebrate!

In 5th Grade, the boys bowled first, restricting Newcastle City to 8/143 from 40 overs. Tom Newman, Binit Patel and Matt Smith took 2 wickets each. The chase started well with all of the top 5 getting starts, before a collapse saw us slip to 9/141. Binit and Josh Deakin saw us home for a tense 1 wicket win.
The C5s batted first and got off to a shaky start with only Arif Hussain (23) getting a score in the top order and they were 6/60 at the midway point. Asad Abbas (23) led the fightback, and they managed to post a respectable 140. The boys backed their bowlers to do the job against Hamilton North, and they did it easily, rolling them for 74. Mohammed Nawaz (3/18) led the bowling figures.
